Hypnotherapy involves the use of hypnosis as a modality for therapeutic change. It is often classed as a form of complementary therapy. Traditional therapy deals with issues at a cognitive level; and many of life’s problems require just that. I work with problems from an inner conscious level.
By working with the problems from an inner conscious level, we can locate and release the imprint, program or condition that is powering the problem or condition. After that, it’s a matter of establishing some internal support and conscious control.
Hypnotherapy works. It will change your life.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of mind in which your focus of attention becomes narrow and intense like a bright beam of light in a dark room. Your awareness is strategically perched between your conscious thinking and your inner conscious programming. It will feel familiar, yet intense. Even though the inner conscious mind is steadfast and predictable in the programs it carries out, the conscious mind will experience the inner conscious mind as surreal, rather vague and dreamlike.
More specifically . . .
When you are in a state of hypnosis, you concentrate intensely on a specific thought, memory, feeling or sensation while blocking out distractions. You're more open than usual to suggestions, and this can be used to improve your health and well-being. Hypnosis affects how your brain communicates with your body through nerve impulses, hormones and body chemicals such as neuropeptides.
It's true
Hypnotherapy works for almost everyone. Anyone with an IQ of at least 70 and no severe mental disorders can be hypnotized to some degree, if they want to be. Success with hypnosis has to do with your willingness to focus and follow directions, so choose a hypnotherapist that you feel comfortable with.
